Choose your Water Refilling Company Wisely

To all my friends out there having problems with your systems, sad to say,you should really choose the company that you are dealing with. There are some water companies pretending to be professional but in reality they know very little about water filtration and water refilling stations, all they care is to sell the package but they don’t realize the outcome of their irresponsibility.

As a professional, the first thing that they have to do is to ask a water sample coming from the site that you intended to put up the business. If it is Maynilad water, then it will not be a big investment because you can use a system without reverse osmosis, but of course you can also use reverse osmosis, now the issue here is that, the company should have discussed the options first in order for you to decide what systems are you going to use, that is the principle of TRANSPARENCY.

Now if you have a deep-well source of water, then they should justify the configuration of the system because every deep-well water water have a different characteristics so it is assumed that systems design may vary. The basic principle of filtration and purification is to come up with a system design based on the quality of water to be treated and application.the usual scenario if you wanted to put up a water station is that they will immediately offer a pre-designed system with sort of number of stages,oh my GOD,another issue, yan ang nakakalungkot, ginagawa nilang carnabal ang water industry.

They are stressing the concept of The Longer the Stages the better the Quality of Water which is technically irrelevant. The quality of drinking water will be determined by the result of the bacteriological and physico chemical test conducted by the accredited laboratory of the DOH. Simple, but they are making it complicated by discussing the number of stages na in reality is hindi naman din talaga nila alam.

That is why you guys out there are experiencing problems in your systems na it seems walang katapusan dahil pinaglaruan at pinagpraktisan ng kung sino-sinong technician pretending to be marunong but in reality is just a helper na pinabili ng suka sa tindahan e ayon nagpanggap na, na technician or di kaya naman, ahente na nagtayo ng water company at iyon na. Kaya you guys are really the casualty of those irresponsibilities.

Hindi ko naman nilalahat ang mga water company, there are still plenty of them out there doing their professional work, it is just up to you to decide whom will you choose. If you will ask me kung pano malalaman ang totoong water company o hindi? Just read and understand what I have discussed and I am sure you are on the right track. I am not trying to offend anyone, I just care for the innocent victims na wala namang hinangad kungdi makapag negosyo ng maayos gamit ang pinagpagurang puhanan and then they will just be treated unprofessionally, that is really unfair on their part, you are just considering your own benefits.

You should have the social responsibilities of guiding your clients all the way because they are your partners. Orienting them with the systems, about the operation of the business, marketing, training the staffs and owners are the main tasks that you should be doing to your client at hindi yung iniiwan nyo sila sa ere the moment na makuha nyo ang bayad, SHAME ON YOU.

Para sa kaalaman ng lahat, I am the Product Manager of an Import Export company dealing with the distribution of water treatment parts and accessories. We do not sell systems at d kami nag ooffer ng water station package, so hindi ako one sided at wala akong pinapaboran na sino man, I am speaking from a neutral point of view, in fact yung mga client namin na water company na wala sa hulog e binibigyan namin ng seminar in order for them to compete professionally in the market.

As far as our company is concern,we are trying to fulfill our social obligation by orienting our clients on the basic concept in order for them to serve their own client efficiently!

Sir King,

Di lang ikaw ang may sad experience regarding your system, marami kayo, sabi nga "Experience is the best teacher,he gives the test first and lessons afterwards".

yes, maganda po talaga ang purified business kelangan lang talagang pag-aralan ng mabuti at syempre experience din talaga...

share ko lng,my mother has a water station and after my contract with employment ended,I ask my mother to let me handle her business kase nagtatrabaho din naman sya at sasabog n ang tatay ko sa negosyo nya, nagsimula akong mag-aral sa trabaho ng refiller pahinante at driver gusto ko kasing malaman ang mga panganga-ilangan nila at kung ano ang makakapag pa bilis ng trabaho namin because speed is an issue with this line of work mahuli k lng ng konti minsan mura n ang katapat nun damn it!and then ung nga natutunan ko hangang kung pano tumatakbo ung makina, and then i tried to install my own water station with the big help of my father in law and my ninong gorio which has a massive water station, pero asa p rin ako sa technician sa electrical at sa ro sa simula ok ang lahat pero sa mga next services nya sa akin nararamdaman ko na the technician is trying to milk me,gastos d2 gastos dun hindi naman na so-solve ung main problem purket bata pa ako dinadale nya ko,by the im only 24yrs old at the moment,so I didnt ask for his help again kumuha ako ng 2nd,3rd at 4th opinion sa ibat ibang technician, tsaka pala napansin ko lng ,arami sa kanila ang magkakakilala at nagsisiraan sila hehe, well di lahat ung iba mabait, pagkatapos ayun naayos ko rin sa wakas at natapos ang problema, well ngayon medyo confident n akong sabihin na kung magkaron man ng problem ung station ko I can fix it myself,so I advised anyone who is trying to put up a business like this please study learn and adapt first before entering this business...(hehe,parang blog ko eh)

well it only shows that tama ang mga sinabi ni mr orly d2,alam mo mr orly hanga ako sa mga businessman n katulad mo because you are sharing ur knowledge kase ung iba jan ayaw man lang tumulong or minsan dadalhin k pa sa kapahamakan,God bless you mr orly...

Mga bossing, may tanong lang ako...
sa purified water station, we have a 50% waste water? how about if i'm going to return this waste water in my Raw tank? It gone through all the filters anyhow diba,so malinis na din sya?
Naisip ko lang, kung ang TDS ng Maynilad ay 98 tapos ang waste water ay 89, edi mas usefull pa nga yung waste water diba?
maybe some of you here knows technically.

Shanghai-Orly said...

Sir Bong,

Technically and conceptually, you are right,as per TDS of your raw water is concern, however in cases wherein Raw water TDS is so high,it is not practical to recirculate since membrane will be affected and product TDS will be higher.

As for my experience TDS of reject water will increase to the maximum of 50% from the original TDS(conservatively).

Just want to share to you an article which I read,it is entitled "From Toilet to Tap",
it was a project conducted in the United States wherein it's objective is to recover waste water coming from the toilet's septic tank and treat it for drinking purposes. The project was successful, however it gained negative feed backs. For you to drink water knowing it came from the toilet although it is of drinking quality is a YUCK!!!!!!!
That is same concept if your client will know that you are processing reject water, they are ordinary laymen and do not understand what we are discussing.Just don't tell anyone about your plan of recirculating your reject water.

Hi Orly,

Thanks for this blog. I'm an OFW and planning to stay for good in Cebu end of this year. Been thinking lately of what type of business I should put up in Cebu and feel WRS is a good choice. Your blog is very helpful and feel you're an expert in WRS field. Would highly appreciate if you can help me on how to start putting up this business. Cebu's market for WRS looks like saturated already but I'm positive for this business to prosper considering that water is a necessity to everyone. Please could you email me at arnsartagoda@yahoo.com, would be very pleased to discuss with you my concerns. Many thanks!

Hi Orly,

Thanks for your blog. This is very helpful for me and I feel you are an expert on this field of business - WRS.

I’m an OFW, planning to stay in Cebu for good hopefully end of this year. Would highly appreciate if you could email me the details re- this business, capital required, etc.

Do you think this business is still profitable in Cebu considering that there are so many already in the market?

Please advise.

Many thanks!
Noel

Sir Noel,

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the compliments.
With regards to your concern about saturated refilling stations in Cebu, actually it is not a disadvantage on your part but a very big advantage.

The presence of so many refilling station in your area is an indication that it has a big market, imagine if you are in an area where there is no demand for safe drinking water? You will be having a very hard time promoting and introducing your product, where as ,right now, the demand is there and all you have to do is to grab a market share from the existing market.
Now, on your case, do you think you have a big opportunity of getting the market in your area?
All you have to do is to incorporate the basics of marketing and you can penetrate the market.
